Applying for Jobs on Company Websites

One of the most frustrating things about online job searching is online applications.

The big problem is that there is no standard application. While there are many variations, most online applications fall into these categories:

Paste entire resume into a single form.
Paste resume sections into corresponding sections in an online form.
Paste entire resume into the online application form -- and from there, the online system "organizes" your resume data to fit their specific form.


	The application process can be simple... but in many cases, it will require several steps and lots of patience. Give yourself plenty of time to complete the application!

	Unless otherwise indicated, always use a plain text version when cutting and pasting your resume into an online form.
